ROTARY KILN / BURNER PIPE - SIAM REFRACTORY

The rotary kiln is the core of a cement plant, where the clinkerization process takes place. In this process, a homogeneous mixture of raw materials is heated to a sintering temperature of approximately 1,450 °C to form clinker.
 
The refractory linings used in the various zones of a rotary kiln are meticulously engineered for each specific application to withstand a complex combination of operating conditions. These include fluctuating temperatures, chemical interactions between the refractories and kiln feed or process gases, abrasion, and mechanical stresses caused by the kiln’s own weight as well as shell deformation during rotation.
 
Today, rotary kiln systems face increasing challenges from dynamic thermochemical conditions, driven by the growing use of alternative fuels and raw materials (AFR) and ongoing technological advancements in the global cement industry. In response, Siam Refractory is strongly committed to delivering comprehensive refractory solutions that provide superior performance and extended lining service life. Siam Refractory also provides specialized refractory lining solutions for kiln burner pipes. In this area, the lining must withstand severe conditions caused by high-velocity, erosive hot air and clinker dust originating from the clinker cooler. For this purpose, our TufDura series, reinforced with specially selected stainless steel fibers, has been developed to deliver reliable performance and a satisfactory service life.
