TOWERCOOL™ - GAS COOLING IN GAS COOLING TOWERS
(MONOCOOL™ single fluid & DUOCOOL™ double fluid principles)
The major place to cool hot kiln gas in cement plants occurs in the Gas Cooling Towers. The hot gas must be cooled in most cases prior to
Baghouse Filter or Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) to protect the system and providing them to work at the highest efficiency.
Cooling Control provides MONOCOOL™ or DUOCOOL™ systems based on integrated PLC control which superintend overall system for any kind of temperature and gas volume change to guarantee GCT’s required outlet temperature without any wet bottom problem.
Both MONOCOOL™ and DUOCOOL™ evaporative cooling systems are applicable for any new project at the initial stage, or to the existing GCTs.
Our expert engineers is studying the parameters based on customer datas, and propose the most efficient and economical evaporative cooling systems not only from the point of investment cost, but also the running cost in the long run as well as robust design and trouble-free operational aspects.
Full PLC control incorporate up-to-date technological advances where microprocessors enable incomparable control of the system, user friendly operation, reability, close loop control and managing almost all components automatically.
’’The key point is that no matter your existing systems were established by us or not, we can analyse and propose retrofitting projects, please feel free at any time to contact our team’’
MONOCOOL™ PRINCIPLE EVAPORATIVE COOLING SYSTEMS
RETURN-FLOW METHOD
COOLING CONTROL® MONOCOOL™ evaporative cooling systems are completed by the lightest new generation RETURNFLOW lances. All other complementary equipments are robust, easy for maintenance when required, and serving long lasting durability under heavy working conditions. The system mainly consist of pump station, control valve station, air purge unit, lances & ring groups as well as PLC drives.

Cooling Control®
Returnflow Lances are the lightest lances in the world compared to the same length of conventional ones. Our new generation lances are quite handy for maintenance and requires ’’no tool’’ to dismantle or installation. The outstanding and all-of-a-kind property of Cooling Control lances is to have inbuilt filter and non-return valve on the lance.

HYBRID SYSTEMS
Thanks to COOLING CONTROL® engineers who invented and implemented the first time HYBRID METHOD to the Cement Industry.
The method is a combination of return-flow lances as well as nonreturn-flow lances working at the same time in the same bank and tower.
The superior idea and know-how make it possible that HYBRID SYSTEMS can mostly be used in Gas Cooling Towers where the overall evaporation lenght is not sufficient to guarantee the full evaporation by a single fluid principle.
In the past, there appeared an obligation to use double fluid principle which uses high capacity compressed air station to achieve smaller droplets so as to make evaporation within limited leghts.
Today, the most energy efficient solution is COOLING CONTROL®'s single fluid HYBRID SYSTEMS, being at service in several cement plants.
DUOCOOL™ PRINCIPLE EVAPORATIVE COOLING SYSTEMS
DOUBLE-FLUID SYSTEM
COOLING CONTROL® DUOCOOL™ evaporative cooling systems provide quick and fast full evaporation within short reaction lenghts. The reason of short reaction length is purely due to smaller atomized droplets which create more surface contact area between hot gas and water drops resulting in faster heat transfer and quicker cooling.
To achieve finer droplets,
the compressed air is fed to lances from a seperate air pipe line that pressurised water and compressed air strike each other just before the spray nozzle orifice. The dynamic energy of the compressed air creates a great scissor or hammer impact effect on the water that breaks into very finer particals, thereby generate ultra fine spray at the exit of the spray nozzle.
DUOCOOL™ systems require more controls and equipments than MONOCOOL™ systems due to the simple fact that operation of two seperate fluid (generally water and air) has to be handled.
Fluid
: Double Fluid (generally water and air)
Principle
: Double Fluid Mix, no return
Pressure
: ~7 bar air - ~7 bar water
Droplet size Dmax
: ~200 microns
Droplet size D
₃₂
:
~100 microns
Control
: PLC
Guarantee
