One of the leading Cement Plants, 5th biggest one in Turkey has contracted with FTR for retrofitting of their 2 GCT’s recently. The plant itself is almost manufacturing 4% of the total cement production in the Turkish Market.
The existing GCT systems were not able to achieve the desired tempertaure reductions as well as creating wet bottom problems. Due to this, our customer technical team has investigated all possible solutions, checked all solution proposals, and finally decided on FTR / COOLING CONTROL®.
These two GCT systems are now underproduction, planned to install end of May 2010. The scope of supply contains the followings :
CALCULATIONS, ENGINEERING, DESIGN, MANUFACTURING, AUTOMATION, INSTALLATION and SUPERVISION of the complete systems consisting of pump stations, lance groups, air stations, valve racks, automation & other accessories.
The working principle is HYBRID SYSTEM, the newest approach to evaporative gas cooling systems, invented and only manufactured by COOLING CONTROL® in the world.
The most important advantage of HYBRID SYSTEM is that incase high pressure return-flow system is not aplicable in places where reaction lengths are not sufficient, therefore double fluid principle (water + compressed air mix) is a must, HYBRID SYSTEM can achive almost equal evaporation lengths without help of compressed air. So, high cost compressed air needs disappear.
HYBRID SYSTEM is a single fluid principle (only water spray) which contains return-flow lances together with nonreturn-flow lances working at the same time. Thus, it makes the cooling system very energy efficient.
These lastest contracts are the 12th and 13rd systems in Turkey.
